Ski Idaho, a consortium of all Idaho ski areas, wanted to increase overall awareness of the incredible skiing and snowboarding that makes Idaho famous. Additionally, they had hoped to develop new skiers and snowboarders at local ski areas while promoting the interests of Idaho’s Alpine and Nordic snow sports industries.
A combination of all news websites in Washington were employed to achieve the goal. Key web placements in Weather website sections, Ski Report pages, Mobile apps, Daily Weather emails and Facebook were all used to create awareness and connect the audience to Ski Idaho.
In the first four weeks of this sixteen week campaign, over 300 clicks were received and hundreds of new Facebook fans were cultivated. Exclusive sponsorships of Weather email had click thru rates 10x higher than the industry standard.
